Vitex
Vitex is widely used and is a timber that is attractive and stable and is as useful outside as it is inside. Texture and grain are fine and even usually straight with occasional ribbon or interlocked feature. A distinctive leathery feel and smell. Nails and screws very well. Used in joinery, decking, claddings, panelling, posts, wharf structures, rails, beams etc.
